CEPO is the result of years of discussions and collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine at Mahidol University and its Sirindhorn School of Prosthetics and Orthotics (SSPO) and Scandinavian Orthopaedic Laboratory. CEPO has as its primary goal to provide high quality prosthetics and orthotics in line with recently published WHO standards. These WHO standards are guidelines to all member states on how to develop the P&O (Prosthetics and Orthotics) services in each country. One of their main points is that a high quality assistive device (Prosthesis or Orthosis) will in the end be an investment rather than a cost. A good quality device will enable people to continue their education, practice their occupation. They will also need less assistance from family and friends and the society since they are able to take better care by themselves.
CEPO is here to offer these high quality prosthetics and orthotics. We choose the best materials and components to the best price in order to reduce cost. Our goal is also to transfer SOL's "know how" and experience collected from over 35 years in the field to the Thai P&O community. We hope that CEPO will become a roll model for how P&O services are provided around the world.
